I am as a person in general, but when it came to Scentsy i just stayed quiet the last couple of years because the anti MLM community is intense sometimes. I am a hobbyist consultant and it’s hard. I don’t want to stay where I am not wanted…. But what Scentsy doesn’t understand is WE were all customers FIRST…. And my passion ( or obsession lol) with WAX… not Scentsy only….. is why I became a consultant. But if I stop being a consultant I don’t know how much of a customer I will be….. there are so many other small wax businesses that I can spend my money on. Can you tell I’m a little hot over this. My biggest thing for me personally is….. Scentsy…. You are not a company of your word. You gave me a contract that I would be certified for life and now you took that away. And Eric… I am so sorry they are making you sell 500 more to get your bonus. 500 is A LOT more.

I’m wondering if Scentsy lost money when they added the automatic adding of the free 6th bar last year and instead of taking that away they changed it to only the consultant putting the order in will give it to you.

saving $6 vs saving $3.60 yeah right....and the earlier change with only making scent circles available in 3 packs was not wise if you ask me either! who wants 3 of the same when you could get 3 different ones? so messing with our commission structure blows too - not happy there either....I don't plan to work that hard from here on out although ironically I'm having my best month ever...

Just found your channel.. I totally agree with you. I am a hobbyist. I have 2 steady local customers that order at least 1 time every month so it might not be hard to hit 250 prv every month to get 25%.. but apparently Scentsy doesn’t know what the word lifetime means 😂 I think the announcement on the workstation was a mess.. if you are drastically making changes like this… Have person announce it on a Zoom.. so questions can be answered quicker.. Does Scentsy even have a PR person?!? Doesn’t seem like it.

To watch Dan Orchard sit up there and flash dumb quotes in cursive script about bloody knuckles was disgusting. It took him a half hour to get to point and start talking numbers. This is the last push to see how many people are going to hang on before this thing goes belly up. The ships sinking and the bands playing. I’m glad I left in 2022 even though I did love the product and I met some awesome people I realized scentsy was never about the fragrance. There is a lot of lovely consultants and my heart breaks for them, especially those that rely on this. Great video I appreciate your thoughts and transparency… new subscriber 🫶🏼

Hi Eric, just gonna start with thank you for all the work you’ve done to help us consultants, especially when we could use Vizzlie. I am leaving Scentsy over the 25% for life being taken away. Although I average around $300 prv a month what they are doing is gross and I can’t support their business with good conscience. Hope whatever you decide works out and don’t cast away your morals. Wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.

I’ve been a Scentsy Consultant 7 yrs I’m not happy with the changes I will be stepping away. I shut my PWS down today. It’s hard to meet 200 now and now 250 in March. I am a hobbyist I made to Lead Consultant at one time but my 2 downline quit which that didn’t bother me. we were promised 1000 Prv for life this they took away. They were supposed to give us 60 days advance to tell us this they didn’t do that. So shame on you Scentsy

My issue with mlm is not that you can't make money making personal sales, it's the % of the product cost that goes to the upline and their upline and their upline... etc. Thank you for sharing. You seem very kind and genuine and have a lovely voice 😊

MLM structure cannot be sustained. Affiliate is around the corner.

I am a hobbyist consultant myself, and it has been so interesting to hear the perspectives of consultants at different levels and how these changes will affect everyone differently. I am interested to see how things roll out on March 1. Like you, this whole thing has just given me the ick. Thank you so much for sharing!

I'm a customer & feel like you do. I'll have to wait & see if these changes are better or hurts me as in money weis. If I have to contact my consultant every time I want 6 bars for the best deal, I may not buy as much. Also I don't know my consultant personally to give her my credit card information. It wouldn't bother me to give up Scentsy, since I have quite a few warmers & I can buy wax other places.

My favorites were Banana Nut Bread, Woolly Slippers, Berry Tart and surprisingly Cranberry Spice...I wasn't expecting to like that one so much lol

I started getting a bad feeing in November that Scentsy just wasn't going in the direction of being lead by good intentions, especially after the subliminal leavin of Lacey. As a consultant for 5 years, each year has brought worse and worse change for Scentsy consultants as a whole, and I couldn't allow myself to continue putting the best effort forward for a company making it obvious that all these changes were for the benefit of the higher ups, not the ones bringing in their business day to day. And it's unfortunate that just a month after deciding to leave that this is what's happening. Through all this, my advice to all consultants is to trust your own intuition, and don't feel pressured to stay if you just can't get past the ick they've unfortunately left us all with after years of commitment and dedication to their company as a whole. It's true, the hobbyist's are majorly being given a slap in the face after dedicating themselves to a business they joined due to their LOVE of Scentsy, and I truly don't want to give Scentsy any love at this point in time so I will be looking for other suppliers for my fragrance needs from this day forward.

Hello, just found you today 😊 Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’ve been with Scentsy pretty much since the beginning. I’ve commented on a few videos like this and I’ve come to the conclusion that for me it isn’t any of the changes specifically it is the “feeling” AND the mutual trust and loyalty I thought I had. I really did feel like I was part of a family. I definitely understand business and decisions that have to be made. Before this I also looked forward to SFR/World Tour and New Season Launches etc etc but like you said now that feeling is gone. It’s as if my heart is broken. There’s more but that’s mainly where I’m at. I’m pretty much on same page as you. And yes, it’s not consultants it’s the world we are currently in. I speak for myself but I’m still buying a good bit and I am trying to sell more and I actually have been. Sorry for the long comment I think we are all trying to work through this and figure out the next move.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns about Scentsy. Most MLMs had an uptick during the pandemic and are trending down now. So IMO, it’s not you, you seem lovely and your dog is adorable, it’s all MLM.

I'm a customer, not a consultant. I personally love the convenience of ordering whenever I want off of my consultants website, without having to bother anyone and at whatever time of day/night. I actually really liked the new prompt they had for adding bars to your shopping cart, so you knew how many more you needed to earn a free one. It removed the step of having to remember to choose bundle and save before choosing your bars, just to get the deal. It was already pretty easy with the prompt, so they can't expect us to believe them when they say going through your consultant is the only way to still get the buy 5 get 1 free deal, is to simplify it. I personally think they know a lot of customers won't bother with the deal, and stick to ordering on the website like they've gotten used to. That will get them more money, due to the majority of customers paying more, with only a 10% discount instead of a free bar. It's essentially just a price increase, in a sneaky way IMO

We should have been grandfathered in for the commission changes.

Thank you, Eric. I feel the same way. Customer convenience is important, and to think they are going to do away with this seems like a terrible business move. I don't actively recruit and sadly with these new changes I don't feel right. This "business" has always been my happy place. I feel so doubtful for the future. I was looking forward to WT, not necessarily anymore. I will try to be hopeful but ...

People are going to struggle and more people aren’t going to want to spend money at all. The scentsy millionaires I call them will still make $

I've been with Scentsy for 4 years. There have been a few changes that I haven't been happy with, but these changes are too beyond and cringe. I've found other products to replace everything I use. As for money I'll be better off financially leaving. I look at this as a positive, like I'm free.

Correction: I said "If you're under 250 PRV, you make 200 in commission." I meant that you make 20% in commission instead of 25%. LOL Sorry!

Thank for sharing your honest thoughts. I signed up being encouraged by my sponsor that I could be a hobbyist. After watching Dan’s video, I felt like he wants hobbyist weeded out. I am now deciding if I want to stay. Let’s face it consultants are Scentsy s biggest customers and his video made me feel like Scentsy no longer wants my money.

With them changing the bundle and save to save 10% it simplifies the language and how it works to make it easier on the customer. This is in hopes to drive more sales. I see it as a great thing.

Fellow consultant... My fave Scentsy Club item is the 50% off whiff box! I also just love the program in general. The Always Get my bar is the best!! Once I love a bar that's it I only want to warm the ones I love. So this is great!!!
